During a day trip to NYC we ate at the Stage Deli. I forget what I had but
it came with Russian dressing. It wasn't greatness, iirc. It's only saving
grace was by virtue of the sandwich's gargantuan size. I finished it!

Great atmosphere!!! You got a sense of belonging, if only for a little
while.

A month later they were shut down by the health department for
"corrections".

I saw Katz's deli showcased on a segment of a "Man vs. Food" (Travel
Channel) episode. I eyed the sandwich size with some suspicion.

The Stage Deli opened a satellite restaurant at the Taj Mahal casino in
Atlantic City. We drifted in and immediately out of the place. It stunk of
chlorine and rotten "something"!
