Depends on what else you've got in the way of vegetables and pantry items. I
like to pan-fry pork chops and onions, throwing in some sliced zucchini
about a minute before everything else is done, and then finish by adding fig
balsamic vinegar, cooking slightly to reduce.

In similar vein, you could replace the zucchini with sliced cabbage strips
and the fig balsamic vinegar with a mixture of cider vinegar and sugar.
