Works for me. Every time anybody makes a post on a newsgroup, a unique
message ID is generated. This is unique for the entire world, no other
message has this same ID. It is independent of author, newsgroup or
*anything* (obviously it has a unique newserver ID within it). This is
the simplest, easiest, quickest and most efficient way of identifying a
newsgroup posting. You can ask your news client to retrieve the post
from your newserver, or you can go to your browser and do a Google
Advanced Group Search. There are lots of criteria on that search, but
just skip them all and go to the box at the bottom. Insert the message
ID and press the button. It will pop right up.
