that's my understanding as well. apparently some things work with i.e.
that don't comply with the HTML (?) standards.

i'm with george, though, in that i have an aversion (perhaps irrational) to
i.e. and always have. it's not just an anti-microsoft attitude, i just
think it looks cruddy.
