I use the microwave for par cooking some items where I want to cook it
through and then crisp the outside with a grill, sear or deep fry (works
well with french fries, for example), as well as qick steaming effect of
veggies. Also, when I am cooking chicken on the outdoor grill and the
coals are too low to finish it, I will sometime cheat and finish the
chicken in the microwave.
