I am neither Swedish nor Danisah and I love pickled beets. They are common
as a winter addition in French-Canadian cuisine. Northern European, I
suspect, as we also have fricadelles in our repertoire of national dishes.
Btw, I wouldn't go west of Montreal and expect a restaurant to serve that
although I've heard there was one in Vancouver on Commercial.
