I see Spam as poor-folk food and a war-time item that refused to just go
away. My mom used to make a Spam and cabbage dish that I disliked
greatly. Phooey! OTOH, if you consider the cost per pound and the
expense on your health it's cost is great.

25 years ago, I would make a breakfast of biscuits and no-cook
strawberry jam. I dug the simple purity of it all. Now I can't remember
when was the last time I made biscuits from scratch. Guess I'll have to
work at correcting this. :-)
