Your suggestion to boil animal bits maybe isn't difficult but it would
be problematic for some people: "What dead animal? Which bits? Just
water, nothing else? Vegetables? Any seasonings? What if I don't have
those? Can I use something else? How long? What do I do with it after
it's boiled? More importantly, when in hell am I going to find time to
do it? WHERE am I going to find the time? Heck, it's easier to just
buy a can of Campbell's." (Note to Bulka: We all make choices about
how we use our time.)

I posted the recipe because it came up in discussion in another thread.
I agree that scratch is probably better, and there is a population
(larger than you and I would probably like) that just doesn't care
about making perfect _FITB_; they just want something to put into an
empty belly.
