Because we're in a phase where the main product offering from
Microsoft is NFG, so one must improvise?
Seriously, it's a relief that some classes of machines are
still available with XP, but if you want a more powerful
computer and want to run Windows you're best off either downgrading,
or installing XP from scratch. This situation will continue
at least until Windows 7 is in full release.
