Drove into town today & picked up a dozen fresh oysters, a nice
Dungeness crab & some fresh asparagus. New Year's Eve we'll share the
oysters while we grill a couple of nice steaks on the BBQ - I've
promised to make Hollandaise. At midnight we'll pour a wee dram of
the good cognac, share a kiss and turn in at about 12:15 - some party
animals.
New Year's Day DH will enjoy the cracked crab while he goes into his
annual state of Bowl Game bliss. Me, I'm going to brew myself a nice
a pot of tea, curl up with a couple of cats & a good book, and spend
the afternoon grazing on leftover Christmas cheese & crackers. For
Dinner - pig - in the form of baby back ribs.
