Fight it and you will win this one. Regs can change, but not when already
there. They have to prove you were notified when there and given the option
to come back to take the money.

If CMC can't fix it (or seems not active) have husband put in chit to see
the CO and have him have all the paperwork with him at the time. Be
prepared to send a copy of it all up with the chit to see the CO.
