There is one thing we can agree on. It's also one of the reasons I have

doctors I will do business with and have fired several in the past.
Most recently I fired an allergist, though it wasn't so much for
competence as for personality conflict. When I got around to finding
another I found one I really like who I think is more thorough than the
other and who I get along with well.

Hey, if it works for you, great. The placebo effect requires belief in
the placebo, so it would never work for me.
