I'm not sure I ever thought there was a Santa Clause. When I was 5 or 6
years old living in Lakehurst, NJ, my parents went out to a party. My
oldest brother (he would have been 9 at the time) searched the house until
he found the wrapped presents. Of course he unwrapped them, looked them
over, then tried to wrap and tape them back up. Ever meet a 9 year old who
was good at that? LOL By the time *I* was 9 we were living in Bangkok and
had to choose our gifts from the Sears catalog in October so Mom could be
sure they'd arrive in time for Christmas.
