Why do men cook better

They don't, not typically in the home... still far more woman cook for
their families.
More men cook better professionally only because many more men than
women cook professionally, therefore many more men get the opportunity
to learn professional cooking, and there is a tremendous difference
between commercial cooking and home cooking. Cooking in a
professional setting is extremely physical, therefore more men
gravitate towards cooking professionally for the same reason more men
gravitate to mining, construction, trucking, commercial fishing,
steamfitting, etc. Even in the same commercial kitchen, even if the
women can cook better, the male cooks are paid more simply because the
women need assistance with the physical aspects of the job... of
course there are exceptions but in general this physical disparity
applies in the vast majority of instances, I'm sure they exist but
I've never met a woman yet who could change a flat tire. When a
female cook is hired the commercial kitchen is really getting only
half an employee, they'd need to hire a helper for her. Most
professional kitchens won't hire females precisely because of their
need to require help with heavy items, which is also extremely
unsafe... I would never trust anyone on the other end of a 60 qt pot,
a hot roasting pan containing four 20 lb hams, 100 lb sacks of
flour... either lift it yourself or use a crane... in a commercial
kitchen most females pose a grave safety hazard, they are a distinct
liability. This is not to say that many males couldn't do the job,
I've met men who can't change a flat tire either.
