Apparently Obama nixed the idea of a big fireworks display at the end of his
Grant Park speech, didn't want to seem too gloating or euphoric. A smart
move...
When I watched him I noticed that his hair was graying a bit, I thought,
"Man, in a few years you'll be *totally* gray, you have the hardest job in
the world"...

It was a lovely sunny 70+ degree day, everyone was in a good mood. Except
for the bartender at my local watering hole who is a Republican. I said,
"Hey, why be mad, it is what it is.". Getting worked up about electoral
politics any more is a fairly useless exercise, I've better things to
do...don't be going being all bitter, it's easy enuf to get a sour face.
I was happy for all the Obama supporters, many of them black. It was their
"day", you can't begrudge them that...
