Default Why a steel drawer in the kitchen?

Alas, the only potential victim is my 96 year old father, who's deaf
as a post 8-) If I were the one hard of hearing it might be worth a try!

If it's to be useful for utensils it needs some sort of fixture to separate
and organize them. A knife block is one possibility, but only about three
knives are in regular use. Most of the other things have an irregular shape,
such as spatulas, corkscrews, large forks and so forth. It's worth some
thought, the drawer next to the right is a real tangle.
