What is the focus group for this survey? Did it assume the ungrateful
diners are adults and not immediate family? I can't imagine an
invited guest (including immediate family) not appreciating what I put
on the table. However *young* children (or grand children) can be
brutal critics, because they haven't learned all the social graces
yet.
IOW: If I put it on the table, they eat it and say "thank you". If I
mention making it another time, they'll find a nice way to say "no
thanks" if they didn't like it the first time. I'm not upset and they
don't have to eat something they didn't like. It's a win-win
situation.
