>>> Last night we were invited by friends to a dinner at one of their

>>> I think they were best I've ever eaten. He had also baked six dozen

>>> I think I counted six different kinds of pie, and others had brought

Yes, I can imagine indeed. I take great comfort in an evening of good food
and better company. It's the perfect way to make a terrible time infinitely
better in almost any situation, isn't it? When my husband and I were trying
to have another baby (we lost a total of 6 pregnancies and 7 babies before
we finally had my daughter), and things were pretty much at their worst as
far as that goes, I remember my husband driving me over to my parents, and
my brothers and my sister were there, and we just had this sort of impromptu
holiday meal, and soon everyone was talking and telling stories and it just
made me feel so good for that evening...and for days after. That's why no
matter how corny Emeril's sayings ever get...I'll always agree with "food of
love".
