Default Crunchy Cabbage Slaw

Crunchy Cabbage Slaw

From the Chronicle archives; it's best if served the day it is made.

1 head Napa or other cabbage, shredded
1/4 cup shelled sunflower seeds
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 tablespoons chopped green onion
2 packages chicken-flavor ramen noodles, uncooked and crushed, and
their 2 flavor packets
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 to 1 cup sugar, to taste

In a large bowl, mix cabbage, seeds, almonds, onions and noodles. In
another bowl, combine flavor-packet contents, oil, vinegar and sugar; mix
well. Toss dressing with cabbage mixture. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
