Cracking occurs from shifting underlay (sinking) or frost heaving
(rising) or too much weight in one spot. Parking your chevy on the
counter next to the bread box might be a bit of a concern....don't expect
there's much of that in your average kitchen though.

I've never had a in house sink hole.... I've had a in sink drain hole,
though.
