Not possible, you didn't use superior reason or logic.

You don't get to define "the (vegan) issue", which is the use of animals as
food in general, not just the (big-bad) meat industry.

It's like every big industry, in need of reforms.

You've obfuscated the issue, animals can be used for food *without* any
"meat industry" involved, by individuals and small groups (co-ops), and the
result is less animal death and environmental damage than caused by a vegan
who bases their diet on commercially grown plant foods.
