Few recipes need such accurate measuring. Doing it
by volume is close enough. Even then I don't bother
doing all that ocd type stuff like scraping the top
of the cup or teaspoon with a knife to make it
perfectly level. I quit doing that years ago.

Even if I did measure I wouldn't bother to make sure
the needle was exactly on the mark. And who knows
how accurate their scale is anyway. Unless you've
bought a really high quality one and frequently
check it for accuracy.
