My GE oven door totally cracked all by itself once - it was like auto
glass, in that it didn't go anywhere, it just stayed in place, only
cracked all over.
The service guys said the door wasn't plumb with the oven; they
replaced it and it never happened again. I was heating it up when it
happened. I have had White-Westinghouse or Whirlpool ovens since.
I don't know about your microwave glass door.
