I failed shoppinf :-(
I screwed up with the shopping this weekend. We often roast a chicken on
Sundays, either a small one for a good feed for two or a large one to
have a good feed and leftovers. This week I bough a small one. I was
quite happy to hear my wife offer to look after dinner tonight, but was
puzzled when she said she could not find the chicken. I went to look in
the fridge, in the fridge freezer and in the chest freezer. No chicken.
I was sure that I had bought one. I usually put the groceries in the
back seat, but I remembered that this week I had put them in the trunk.
So I went out to the car and checked the trunk. That's where my chicken
was. If this had happened a week ago it would not have been a problem,
but Spring arrived this weekend, and the chicken had been in the trunk
of the car for two warm days. The bird had cost me $6.15, and it didn't
take much to convince me that it was not worth risking.
