If I had not read the description of the "tasting glass" and only
looked at the picture, I might have guessed that it is a cigarette
ashtray. The finger grip would make it easy to empty :-).

Once the young lady extracts the cork as shown in the video, my parrot
would be happy to grind it up. I wish I could make a video of him
holding a cork with one foot as he grinds it up leaving a pile of cork
fragments on the cage floor. The only way I likely could do this is to
put a camera mounted on a tripod in front of his cage and leave it
there for several days. Then he might be used to the camera and not
stop chewing when you bring a camera near his cage. It is nearly
impossible to force a parrot to do anything unless it wants to. They
are even more stubborn than a donkey. Parrot claws have to be trimmed
now and then to prevent overgrowth. I have to wrap the parrot in a
very heavy towel to keep him restrained so he will not harm himself
or bite me. Then he curls up his toes, much as some babies do, when
you try to put shoes on them. Getting the opening in the nail trimmer
over a claw is thus difficult. Trimming is painless if done properly,
but he does not like for anyone to hold his feet, although he
sometimes will let me do so for a short time.
