Buttercream Frosting (Icing)
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 cup sifted confectioners sugar (powdered sugar)
2 Tbsp milk
Cream together shortening and butter for 3 min on high, or until smooth
Add vanilla and mix well Add sugar slowly, 1 cup at a time. Mix well
Frosting should seem dry, add milk and mix until smooth and creamy looking
Store in airtight conatainer (stored like this should last up to 2 weeks)
