I noticed that too. I'm sure glad I got mine last
year. I don't care for the new style. I've had that
type before and I find them tiresome to use when you're
grinding a lot. I love the one I got last year with the
handle/crank. Much easier to deal with.

It's probably fine. Penzey's is known for good
quality so I wouldn't expect them to sell lousy
peppermills.
