Sesame Chicken

Ingredients:
* 1 boneless chicken breast
* Flour
* 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
* Eggwash (beaten eggs with milk)
* 1 cup black and white sesame seeds, combined
* 2 Tbsp. pure ground ginger
* 2 cups soy sauce
* 1 cup dark brown sugar
* Green onions to garnish
* Pickled Daikon* to garnish
* Chili Sauce
Preparation:
Cut chicken into long strips. Dredge strips in flour, shake off
excess. Heat pan, add cooking oil to pan. Dip strips in eggwash, shake
off excess. Roll in sesame seeds and shake off excess. Place strips in
heated pan, cook each side for 2-3 minutes, then drain off excess oil.
Combine ginger, soy sauce and brown sugar in a separate bowl. Place
pan back on head and add 2-3 tablespoons of ginger-soy sauce and
simmer lightly. Remove strips from pan, place on plate and pour
remaining sauce over and around chicken. Garnish with green onions and
thinly sliced pickle Daikon. Serve with side dish of chili sauce.
Yield: 1 serving
*Daikon is a variety of radish. Pickled Daikon can be found in some
Asian grocery stores.
