I do believe that COSTCO which sells large bags of already cracked
pine nuts, gets their Pine nuts from China. As a kid we got pine nuts
from China is small cello bags. We had to crack the brittle outside
open to get the sweet pine nut within. Many decades later when I saw
the already shelled pine nuts at COSTCO, I had to buy a bag and enjoy
handfuls.
