Before I knew of my food allergies, and when we lived in an area that had
one, we used to dine at Sizzler. I could get a couple of plates of salad
and one plate that had two onion rings, a bit of potato, maybe a bit of
pasta, other carby things. Worked for me.

I can't eat onion rings now because of the allergies. I suppose I could
come up with some recipe that I'm not allergic to but it hardly seems worth
the bother.
