Malolactic Multiplying??

Hi everyone,
I've been gone for a while but it's wine season again so here I am! :o)
I have a stupid question,...
I have several buckets of Barbera wine just started and I'm planning on
doing MLF on them, problem is I only have one packet and I should have
foreseen the need for more but I forgot and now I'm stuck!
Can I multiply my ONE packet like yeast? In other words make a starter and
divide the starter evenly?

Yes you can. I'd suggest using some sulphite-free apple juice and
keeping it warm (20-25 C / 68-77 F). You could add extra malic if need
be.
