Welch's vs "Kickers"?

The use of Welch's grape juice seems to be a common practice to make a
small one gallon batch. Would using a 16oz "Kicker" work as well? By
"kicker" I mean the concentrates that are used to add body such as
"Alexander's vintage red concentrate - 16oz". I have also seen one by
"Winexpert". Both are priced about $6 so it would be a bit more
expensive than using Welch's but it may be a better grape (and taste)
as well. Has anyone tried using one of these? How did it come out?

I do not know that they are "batter" grapes. They use wine grapes for
those, but so they will have a more classical "wine" flavor But since
they are meant to add body and a little wine character to a larger
batch, not necissarily grape flavor, they may be made with grapes that
would not amke a good batch of wine on their own...that is they jsut do
not taste good by themselves. maybe.

Now welches is meant to taste good...but not as wine.
