I need a beginners book...

Can anyone recommend a nice up to date book for beginners? I bought one
called the joy of winemaking but its American and they have different
ways of measuring things etc.

Funny.....I got First Steps In wimemaking but it's British and they
have a different way of measuring things. :) :)

And some fruits I've never heard of.

I started with "Home Winemaking" by Terry Garey. The book deals mostly with
fruit, veggie, and other wines. If you're interested in making wine from
grapes, others may have some suggestions.

Ya, I agree, those bloody Americans *******s, never can tell what they
are doing by the way they measure things.

But here is a good home wine site with a link to free manual for
download.
