Supposedly, He converted seven 30 gallon jars of water into wine when his mother mentioned to him that the party was running out of wine. Apparently it turned out to be better than the stuff they'd initially served. 210 gallons of _good_ wine? Some of the Christian sects cheat on this point a little and serve grape juice instead - but that's not really the same, is it? Personally, I believe that wine is one of God's great gifts to us all, so there's no need to feel guilty about enjoying it. (That's one of the things I don't "get" about the Moslem tradition - their proscription of alcoholic beverages.) Tom S |
