Degassing

If done by stirring violently, does it need to be done more than once,
like once a day for a few days, or just once? After primary only or
after secondary too?? Thanks in advance.

Yes-I would do it for a few days, after secondary only.

I have tried several ways of degassing, but just got something that I think
solves my problems called a Vinballon. It's just 1 25 litre plastic
container-you could use it as a primary and it has 2 lids-one a standard screw
on lid, the other a lid that accomodates an air lock.

After secondary, I rack to the vinballon. It has handles on it and you just
swish it around. Then unscrew the lid, and you can hear the C02 escaping. Swish
again, let air out etc. Takes about 5 minutes of this, and voila, perfectly
degassed wine. Rack it back to the 23 litre carboy.

Guy at wine store said much easier than the normal stirring, or using a stirrer
on a drill, etc, and after trying it out a few times, I belive him.
