Sterilizing Alternative

I have been buying the sterilizing powder for bottles etc. for a while now
and I am wondering if the tablets and liquid that mothers use for
sterilizing babies food & drinking utensils would give the same results as
it is much cheaper than the powder ?

Heat clean bottles to 181°F (83°C) with hot water for 20 min., or you
may be able to slowly heat a batch in your oven, but warm and cool
slowly.

Never tried it but... In a recently obtained cheesemaking book, the author
(a cheesemaker for quite a number of years) recommends baby steriliser for
cheesemaking.

I use a bottle sterilizer with 1/4 tsp powder "C-Brite" to sterilize bottles. Flush inside bottle and rinse afterwards.

Lets understand you don't sterilize, you sanitize wine bottles. A big
difference.
Use 3 tbls of meta to a gallon of water. (cheap) after use put in a 1
gal carboy w/airlock for use again later. Also add sone to a spray
bottle so you can sanitize your tools.
