Secrets of the Vine II

Thanks for your answers in my first Secrets of the Vine thread. Mr
Wilkenson now says that vines are pruned numerous times throughout the
year. As far as I know, fruit trees are pruned once a year. Does the
same not hold true for vines? Are vines in fact pruned several times
a year or on numerous occasions throughout the year, or are they
pruned once a year?
