Grape roots are too small

Hi

I just planted my vines in my garden and the cuttings were in rather small
pots so the roots are not very well developed. There are some big leaves on
the vines. Should I remove them to help the roots to grow or the leaves will
help the roots to grow?

I have also noticed a bit of white on some leaves of some plants. Do people
who grow vines in their garden use fungicide to protect the plants or they
usually resist well to diseases without the need for it?

Thank you

I would leave the leaves. It helps the roots grow. I would also provide
the new plant with at least 1/2 day of shade, if you started it yourself,
until the second year.

Yes you may need to spray it with a fungacide. Everyone I know has a
problem if they dont use it at least once a season.
