A friend of mine saw me reading a wine supply catalog and asked if I had
started making wine. I told him yes and he asked if I would like his old
wine making stuff. I told him yes and he said he would leave it at my
office. Came back after a business trip to find (10) five gallon carboys, a
CO2 transfer system, five cases of bottles, and two boxes full of assorted
"stuff".

Think I'll make up a batch just for him.

Some people have all the luck! The only friends that I have don't make wine
(or beer) but happily consume my supplies :-). But I suppose that's the
purpose of making it - sharing with friends and I suppose relatives.

You DEFINITELY owe him a batch. Or better yet just pass a few bottles to
him every now and then. That is a lot of equipment. And yes, I find it
very difficult to find makers, just consumers.

Now that's a good friend. Ask him if he needs anymore friends. I can't
seem to get any of my buddies even slightly interested.
