Default Sulphite Calculator for Mac and Linux

I've received several requests from Mac and Linux users in this newsgroup
for Sulphite Calculator software that will run on these operating systems.
I have recently implemented a version of Sulphite Calculator that is based
on Java Web Start technology. The application can be seamlessly installed
in Mac, Linux, and Windows systems. The details are found on the following
web page:

http://www.fermsoft.com/sulphite.html

As the software is designed to be installed through any combination of
browser and operating system, some systems may be require configuration.
If anyone has any difficulty installing the software on their particular
system, send a note through the contact page on the web site.

Thanks!!! I tried it out - all I see is a blank screen - various input boxes
will appear if I click on them, but I can't see anything. I have Java 1.42
for Mac OS X. I'll keep playing around with it to see what I can figure out.

Hi,

Here is the Mac OS X page regarding Java Web Start:

http://developer.apple.com/java/javawebstart/

You might find some information there if you continue to experience
problems. Try the Web Start Demo on that page and see if it works. That
way I will know if it is a problem with my application or with your system
configuration. There are some other demos on the Sun web site that you can
try out as well:

http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/demos.html

Feel free to email me if you cannot resolve the problem (attach any error
messages and screen shots).
