A strawberry wine suggestion
A suggestion for some of you who may want to try it.
I picked up a couple of bottles of strawberry wine while traveling in the Finger Lakes Region of New York last year. It was very sweet, some what tart and had a glorious strawberry taste and bouquet. A month or so ago I opened a bottle and had some for after desert wine. Nice but you did not want to drink much and a lot was left. I did not want to drink it as it was as it was way too sweet. What to do, what to do? Then it hit me. I mixed one part cream to two parts wine and had strawberries and cream. It was beautiful. I have never made strawberry wine before and certainly never made a wine that sweet but I am now tempted. If some of you have some strong strawberry wine you might want to try this. Ray -- |
