Default What are "DJ's"

I'm relatively new to winemaking. I keep seeing the term DJ's. What is
a DJ?

Demijohn - a glass bottle, like a carboy.

Difference between carboys and demijohns in Canada is shape as well...

Carboy: <http://www.wineaficionado.com/final/carboy.jpg>
Demijohn: <http://people.ambrosiasw.com/~andrew/carboy.jpg>

Despite the demijohn pic being named carboy.jpg, that is what we call
demijohns around here... usually they are larger and have a faux wicker
basket around them. They seem to be favoured by the local Italians and
Portuguese fellows.
