MLF
How do I know if MLF has started?
I inoculated the wine with the culture yesterday and I have the carboy on a heater to keep it up to 20 degrees or so. Will there be much bubbling or is it fairly subtle? At the moment nothing sems to be happening. TIA -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Deflower me to reply |

Pickle, It doesn't always show up to be that obvious for a few days. Look
for small bubbles coming up the side of the carboy containing typically white matter (lees). When they get to the top they commonly fall like a comet back down.
