Message corruption

I have just sent the previous message about wine storage
and on reading it back after sending was horrified to see
that the way I typed it in has been corrupted.
Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong?

It looks like your editor was inserting carriage returns at the end of
each line and that isn't necessary. It's not a big deal if it
continues.

Newsgroups like "rec.crafts.winemaking" were originally designed for lines
to be about 72 characters or less. It looks like your lines were longer
than that and somewhere along the way, some program broke them around
72 characters. That left the remainder of your lines much shorter, and
as lines of their own.

You can either:
1. Not type "Return" within paragraphs ... just keep typing a whole
paragraph until the end and let the program automatically
break it up when you post it, or,
2. Type "Return" more often ... and keep your lines shorter than 72
characters. (This is what I do, you have more control).

Anyway, it's no big deal... everyone is used to seeing all sorts of
formatting in the newsgroups! :)
