Opnions?

Hi,

Anyone read...

The Wine Maker's Answer Book
by Alison Crowe

I'm thinking of buying it. I am wondering if it is any good.

Thanks.

Never heard of it but ~400 pages for $10 on Amazon sounds reasonable.

It's a collection of her answers as the "Wine Wizard" for the
Winemaker mag - you can check out a sample of here answers at
http://winemakermag.com/mrwizard/

She worked at Bonny Doon and some other good wineries and now has her
own winery I think. Her answers in the mag are pretty much on the
money, so the book should be a good investment - as long as it's
decently organized so you can quickly find a relevant answer.

I just read several of her posts; she won't steer you wrong. It's
sounds worth having and at the price it sells for she isn't trying to
get rich.

I get most of my books from Presque Isle but have never seen this one,
maybe it's newer. If she came from Bonny Doon that is recommendation
enough, they were one of the original Rhone Rangers. My best wines
are 'Rhoneish' so she already has an attagirl in my book.

I've been getting the magazine for many years now - and the most
reliable value in it is her column - "The Wine Wizard". I think I'm going to
get the book as well.
