Default happy christmas

Hi,

probably not very PC, but i just wanted to write a quick word and wish
all of you here a very happy Christmas. We'll be raising our glass of
Haut Brion '88 to "absent friends". The Quinta da Noval '60 will be
used to toast "The family".

Ian and all...Happy Christmas to you.

It is now early on Christmas morning here in my part of the world and
I'm sitting with my son, trying to keep him calm and patient while we
wait for the rest of the family.

Wines won't come until later today, but all of my remote -- often unmet
-- friends will be in my mind.

Peace to all,

Jim

Ian,
Merry Christmas to you! '88 Haut-Brion is probably my favorite wine of
the vintage, drinking gorgeously now. Please post on the '60 Quinta da
Noval- I'm a '60 vintage myself, and Ports are about all that's
drinkable. Fonseca has been my favorite to date, but haven't tried the
QdN.

Jim,
Good luck with keeping your son in check! Best wishes to you and yours.
Have a Merry Tokyo Christmas!

And to everyone else, no matter what holiday they celebrate, wishing
you a 2006 filled with good wines, love, and good cheer.

And so to you Dale. It must be completely in order to wish for a Happy Yule
since nobody seems to know what it means ... how could it offend anyone or
anybody? And it has been the Winter Solstice (as my friend Hugo pointed
out - he´s a Jew) and that is the same regardless of religon, place of
national origin, sex, or hobbyistic inclination ... and the day is now three
minutes longer than on the 21st. To which I, at least, will gladly raise my
glass, though it only contains a modest Rasteau 2003 from Chapoutier (sweet
tobacco leaves and liquorice - mmmm) as I do to all of you, whishing you a
Merry Yule and a Happy Winter Solstice, a Chappy Chanukka, a Kool Kwanza, a
Merry X-mas, and a Really Good Whatever for the lonely Zoroastrian ...

Cheers

Nils Gustaf
