I'm not sure which of the many, and diverse groups you posted this article
from, but if it was AFW, then you might see this response. If not, so be it.
The main reason for the "responses," is that the OP X-posted to many NGs, in
hopes of getting the thread to bloat mightily. He/she was partially successful
in that.

When one sees a "Newsgroups" list that reads: alt.food.wine,alt.rec.bicycles
..racing,alt.sailing.asa,alt.tv.real-world,rec.food.cooking,rec.pets.dogs.
behavior, the chances are that they want to disrupt some of the NGs with their
post. This is a very common troll tactic, as many folk in any one of these is
often unaware as to the point of origin. Unfortunately, AWF has recently been
victim to several trolls, who find it quite funny to post off-topic drivel,
and scathing comments in hopes of inflaming the subscribers. In a few
instances, trolls can be a source of humor. In our recent cases, however, we
have not been so fortunate. Lacking in wit, or any positive aspects, they have
devolved into posting what amounts to crank telephone calls. Unfortunately, "
do you have Prince Albert in a can?" just don't cause many of us to laugh.

Very few people really care about the origin of "Buffalo wings," and I think
that Ed R shot down the OP's assertions very well.

So Billy, if you want to talk about wine, then this is one of the places, and
your comments, provided they are posted in the sense of discussion that this
NG flourishes on, are welcome.
