Hi,
i wonder if anyone tasted these wines before and would be willing to
share his thoughts about it. Here in Hungary one can buy the
Tignanello 2000 for around 100 euros and the Villa Antinori Rosso 2001
for around 65 euros. What do you think about these prices??

Been away from this group for awhile, but since no one responded, here
goes:

I'm a bit familiar with the Antinori Tignanello. 1985 and 1990 were
super years for this super Tuscan. 1997 was excellent, 1998 pretty
good. Have not tried the 2000, but 100 euros for the Magnum sounds
pretty good.

The wine is a fuller bodied wine comprised of Sangiovese (80%),
Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) and Cabernet Franc (5%) . A lasting finish,
like velvet on the tongue. I drink a bottle every year on my
anniversary.

I know nothing aboaut the Villa Antinori Rosso, but givent the track
record of this award winning wine maker, it probably is great!
