Default Ripe vintage Haart. tired (bottle) of Ducru

2009 Reinhold Haart Piesporter Gräfenberg Riesling Kabinett (AP#7)
Ripe and peachy, could pass for Spatlese, but solid acids. Gets herbier with air, pleasant green notes and rocks blending with ripe tropical fruit. Good length. B+

1978 Ducru-Beaucaillou
My bottle of this was fun but on the very mature side. Some fading cassis and black plum fruit, a distinct cigarbox note than is developing hints of ashtray, not so long. This was a Zoom call with 8 bottles, I believe 2 declared excellent, 3 good, mine and one other tired, and 1 corked. My bottle B- fading to C+.

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C
drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice.Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
