Cote d'Or white Burg or CalChard are traditional answers, and what I do most with plain lobster (with butter). But Gruner Veltliner, tauter Chards like Chablis, and richer Muscadet can all be good. I know one person who suggests Viognier, but I don't think that works. Some people like Sauternes but I haven't tried.
Of course if you do a different prep it can change- fra Diavolo is quite different.

In addition to the wines Dale has suggested, Champagne is also a good
match with lobster. My personal preference is for a zipper BdB style,
but I expect that most styles would suit the purpose.

Chardonnay. A good rich one. Chablis usually does it for me. the best
you can afford.
